Work started last week to remove the eucalyptus trees along the median on Tice Valley Boulevard, north and south of Rolling Hills Drive. The lanes adjacent to the median in both directions are closed between roughly 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, while work is going on. “The median infrastructure is decades old,” said Mike Vickers, public works manager for the city of Walnut Creek.
