Rossmoor's Wood Shop and the Nature Association are offering western red cedar nest boxes at the Wood Shop during the Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. Suggested donation for a box is $20, which goes to the Wood Shop.

Rossmoor CERT training is full

Fifty Rossmoor residents have registered for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training, which begins in Rossmoor on Oct. 30. The class is now full, so residents interested in the training will have to attend a class in 2008.

Be sure to visit the Sewing Studio at Gateway during the Fall Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 3. The studio will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Telecare is a free service available to all residents

Telecare, an all-volunteer organization for over 30 years, is here to serve all residents who would like a welfare check once a day between 7 and 8 a.m. A friendly volunteer calls during that one-hour period and if unable to reach the resident after four attempts to call, will contact Securitas and ask for an officer to provide a welfare check.

Third Mutual to hold a special meeting this month to discuss budgets

The Third Walnut Creek Mutual board of directors will hold a special members meeting Friday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Gateway Clubhouse. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the fiscal year 2008 budgets for all projects in Third Walnut Creek Mutual and to discuss the Golden Rain Foundation portion of the monthly coupon. All members of Third Mutual are encouraged to attend.

UC researchers invite residents to participate in small-vehicle study

Rossmoor residents are invited to participate in a clinic and focus group on small vehicles conduced by researchers at UC Berkeley. Residents who are interested in new vehicle technologies are encouraged to participate.

Wednesday Night Dinners continue at Café Mocha -dress up for Halloween

Café Mocha will be open for its Wednesday Night Dinners at Creekside on Halloween night, Oct. 31. Residents are encouraged to dress up in costume and have a festive evening.
